Financial Assistance Programs

US Small Business Administration(SBA) 

• U,S. Small Business Administration (SBA) :  The SBA’s New Jersey District Office continues to provide assistance to small businesses.   SBA works with participating lenders and other agencies or partners such as SCORE, SBDC and Business Information Centers (BIC) to provide both financial and technical assistance.   Contact SBA NJ District office at (973) 645-2434 or www.sba.gov/nj

State of New Jersey

• State of New Jersey : The Economic Development Authority (EDA) offers an array of programs to help eligible businesses start or expand their businesses.  Examples of these programs include loans and grants.  To get more information on these programs, you may contact them at 609 292-1800 or www.njeda.com. 
• NJ Commerce and Economic Growth Commission also offer financial and technical assistance to businesses for their specific needs. Programs such as Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) Program andother loan and grant programs.  Contact (609) 292-1912 for more information.

Monmouth County 

• MCPB-CD - MC Small Business Loan Program :  Low interest business loans and technical assistance to small businesses in the county.  For more info, contact Sharon Rafter at 732 431-7490 or www.monmouthplanning.com

Ocean County 

• Ocean County Planning Department : The Planning Department’s website contains a well linked Business Incentive Resource Guide which reference to many State and Federal programs available to small businesses.  Contact Scott Bennett at (732) 929-2054 or www.co.ocean.nj.us/planning/econdev.htm to Business Incentive Resource Guide.

 Municipal Programs 

• City of Asbury Park : The Economic Development Office administering a Micro-loan program to assist business in Asbury Park.  Up to $25,000 at 4.25% interest loan are available to business owners.  Contact Tom Gilmour at 732 502-5749 or www.Cityofasburypark.com then go to Urban enterprise Zone.
• City of Long Branch : The Economic Development Office administering a Façade Improvement Program to assist business owner to renovate the storefront.  Contact Jacob Jones at 732 923-2040 or www.longbranch.org then go to Community and Economic Development.

 Technical Assistance Programs 

• Small Busines Development Center (SBDC): Provide technical assistance to small business in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.  Contact  at 732 842-8685 or www.brookdale.cc.nj.us/staff/sbdc/Services/services.htm
• SCORE (The Service Corps of Retired Executives) : Provide technical assistance and business counseling to small business.  To schedule a meeting with a SCORE counselor, call 732 219-9119 or www.score.org
